Jewelry line Pretty Young Thing by Arlene Guerra boasts a tantalizing collection of old world meets new world/punk-inspired/romantically decadent bits and baubles. Guerra explains, “I want my pieces to make the eye hungry like a beautiful display of colorful pastries.” After browsing her site and drooling over her charms I can certainly say I am all about what PYT jewelry is cooking.

Hotelier Alex Calderwood’s newest Ace pad in NYC is slated to open in a mere few weeks. Known for their affordability, casual style and hip locations; including Portland, Seattle and Palm Springs, Ace hotels are giving Europe’s hostels a run for their money. Let’s hope Ace NYC catches on and is frequented by only the coolest vagabonds.
